Every knee should have some degree of hyper-extension. If you cannot straighten your knee entirely, then your patellar tendon is always on tension and the joint between your knee cap and the thigh bone is also CONSTANTLY compressed. No wonder your knee hurts when you sit for too long or squat deep.
