Scapular Pull-Ups

EVERYONE who touches a pull up bar should be able to perform a scapular pull up. This is a prerequisite to pulling your chin over the bar. When your chin is over the bar, your neck should be neutral, not extended, and your shoulder blades should maintain this position and not be up by your ears. If you can do these easily, start seeing how high you can pull yourself up until you lose the position. Progress with 3-5 sets of 3-5 reps until you can rep out 5×5 or more with a solid top position.
